Audio devices

Switching between speakers and a headset in BeZoned is easy. In the settings (More → Settings → Devices) you can manually select your microphone and speakers or use System default to let Windows manage your audio devices. In this guide, we show you how BeZoned automatically follows your Windows audio settings.

Use System Default in BeZoned

  1. Open Device settings (More → Settings → Devices) in BeZoned.

  2. Find the microphone and speaker settings.

  3. Select System default for the devices you want Windows to manage.

When you select System default, BeZoned displays the currently active device in parentheses. For example, System default (Speaker) indicates that Windows is currently using your speakers.

Switch Audio Devices Automatically

When you connect or put on your headset, Windows may automatically switch to it.

If Windows changes the default audio output, BeZoned follows automatically. You don't need to adjust your BeZoned settings.

This makes it easy to switch between speakers and a headset throughout your workday.

Switch Audio Devices Manually in Windows

If Windows doesn't automatically switch to your preferred audio device, you can select it manually:

  1. Click the speaker icon in the bottom-right corner of the Windows taskbar.

  2. Open the sound output selector.

  3. Select your headset, speakers, or another available audio output device.

Windows switches to your selected output device, and BeZoned automatically follows when System default is enabled.

Tip: We recommend using System default for both your microphone and speakers if you frequently switch between audio devices. This helps keep your audio settings consistent between Windows and BeZoned.
